News from our APRE - 22 May 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to the halfway point of Term 2!
St Rita’s Feast Day
St Rita’s Feast Day is on the 22nd of May. This year, we are delighted to celebrate with our sister school St Rita’s Babinda. Preps to Year 6 will travel to Babinda for mass and activities on 28th of May. A Parent Slip was emailed for approval of all of your children enrolled to travel by bus. Please ensure you have responded to the slip. Thank you.

St Rita’s School Parish Mass
We are delighted to host mass on Saturday, 31st May 6:00 pm at St Rita’s Church, South Johnstone. All students, families and parishioners are invited to attend. Please bring a plate to share to join us afterwards for a cuppa in the Cascia Centre at school. There will be games and craft activities for kids.
National Reconciliation Week
As we enter National Reconciliation Week, we pause to reflect on the journey of healing, truth-telling, and unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians. In St Rita’s Catholic school, Reconciliation Week holds profound spiritual significance. Our faith calls us to be peacemakers, to walk humbly with others, and to uphold the dignity of every person as made in the image of God.
Looking forward to the rest of our busy term!
Best wishes,
Ms Heaney
