It is the halfway point of Term 1, and it has been bustling with activity. We have many more exciting events on the horizon.

Lent

We are now leading into one of the most significant periods of the liturgical calendar, Lent. This is a time of reflection and preparation. Tuesday of Week 6 is Shrove Tuesday, and we will have pancakes at school to celebrate before the beginning of Lent.

Ash Wednesday Liturgy

Our Ash Wednesday liturgy will take place on Wednesday, 5th March at 9am in St Rita’s Church. This occasion marks the beginning of Lent, and we invite all members of our school community to join us for this special service.

Year 5 and 6 Leadership Day

I would like to extend a huge thank you to our wonderful Year 5 and 6 pupils for their participation in the recent Leadership Day. Their attentiveness and enthusiasm were truly commendable. They have shown themselves to be outstanding role models, and we look forward to seeing them put their newfound leadership skills into practice within our school community.

Prayer for Pope Francis

Our Pope, the leader of the Catholic Church, is ill at the moment. We pray to our Mother Mary:

Mary, send Your Spirit of healing, that She may accompany our shepherd Pope Francis in his illness. As he endures pain and discomfort, give him strength and peace. May he experience the continued grace of Your mercy. May Your unconditional love comfort him and help him heal.
