Dear Parents and Carers,

Our school year has started well, thank you for your organisation and diligence.  It is our ‘awesome privilege’ to be in our organisation of Catholic Education.  We are so fortunate to be able to shape, grow and nurture the minds of our young people in our care.  In partnership with you, we truly are in a privileged position to fulfil this ‘awesome’ undertaking that is Catholic Education at St. Rita’s.  

All teachers and leadership have thoroughly examined each student's learning profile and data as to where that student is at with Maths and English.  We have targeted our teaching to each individual student to ensure growth and improvement in results.  As Principal of St. Rita’s, I am very proud to lead a school who intensely caters for all learners through intervention to meet grade level standard, be their best and also cater for gifted & talented students.  Our academic success and student growth success is no accident as we pursue it intently with passion.  I refer to the great soccer player Pele's definition of success as it is how we operate at our magnificent school:  

“St. Rita’s success is no accident.  It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” - Pele

Finally, so proud of our sporting success at District Representative Carnivals in Netball & Rugby League.  Jaxon, Ollie, and Dom were selected to trial for the Rugby League Innisfail District Team.  Congratulations to Dom who gained selection in the Innisfail District Team!
