News from our Deputy Principal, Leader of Learning and Teaching/Diversity - 9 October 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back from holidays! I hope you enjoyed the downtime from preparing school lunches and enjoyed time with your children. I have heard many recounts of exciting camping trips.
Term 4 is always a dynamic and rewarding time in our school year. One of the highlights has been unpacking our NAPLAN data, which provides valuable insights into student achievement and growth. It’s exciting to see the progress our students have made, and this data helps us tailor teaching to meet individual needs more effectively.
Our teaching team continues to engage in rich professional development, with a strong focus on implementing consistent literacy blocks across all classrooms. This includes targeted strategies to improve reading fluency, which is a key component of successful literacy development. Teachers are collaborating to refine practices, share resources, and ensure every student has access to high-quality learning experiences.
As a reporting term, we are also busy gathering evidence of learning to prepare end-of-year reports. These reports reflect not only academic achievement but also the personal growth and effort each student has shown throughout the year. We look forward to celebrating these successes with families and acknowledging the hard work of our students and staff.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to create a vibrant and inclusive learning community.
Kind Regards,
Mrs Gallagher
