Principal's Report - 19 June 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

As Term 2 concludes next Friday 27th June, I am so very proud of our students’ growth in learning, and the level of respect shown to uphold the St. Rita’s Way.

Behind the scenes we frequently hold  ‘Professional Learning Team’ meetings where all our class teachers, leadership team, and consultants from Catholic Education examine each students’ data in learning.  Based on the National School Improvement Tool (a framework to assess schools performance & growth), we are consistently outstanding.

Behind the scenes we frequently hold ‘Diverse Learning Team’ meetings where I, Mrs Gallagher, School Counsellor Jess, Occupational Therapist Zinna, Speech Language Pathologist Lillian, Psychologist Akira, Inclusive Education Consultant Sandra and Physiotherapist Elise attend. AND again we examine student growth in learning, well-being & programs.  Again, recently reviewing our school processes, we are providing a world-class education to our students at St. Rita’s.  I will share our school feedback survey with you in the near future.

Sensational vibes in the Artistic World and Sporting Arena.  Our textile club at play time are exquisitely making their sewing designs for the Innisfail Show (10 - 11 July).  Our Sporting Arena is bursting with passion, as like the QLD win over the BLUES last night.  Keep sharing your sporting club stories with the office if you attend carnivals/events, as we love hearing them.  Shout out to our sports lads & lasses in the arenas of: Ruby Union, Touch Football, Netball, Soccer, Rugby League and ATHLETICS.  Look forward to our field events of High Jump, Long Jump & Shot Put on Monday.  Also calling for parent touch players for Friday 27th June 2:00pm for our Student V Teacher/Parent game.

Shout to parents who can volunteer at our Strawberries & Cream Stall at Innisfail Show on Thursday 11 & Friday 12 July. More assistance is needed please.

Finally, congratulations to Nikita in Yr.6 who is being Baptised in the Catholic Faith on Saturday 21st June at 4.30pm at St. Rita’s Church.  If you would like to see how one is Baptised, pop along to church and share the moment with Nikita.

Wishing Preppies a fab time at Etty Bay Learning Excursion next Tuesday!

Forward to a Better World, Mrs Bryan.
